What died in my fridge? I’d really, really, really love to know. Because it stinks. Considering my fridge usually only has beer, soda, wine, and maybe some milk that is quite a feat.
I got dumped. Funny thing is I didn’t really realize he and I were still going out. We’d hooked up again a few weeks back after a friend’s show, but I didn’t think we were of the status that a Restaurant Break-Up was necessary.
He says, “we have to have a talk.”
Me, “ok.”
He says, “we have to just be friends.”
Me, “ok…um, are you still going to John’s party tonight?”
Him, “what? You’re not going to cry or yell or anything.”
Me, “um, no.” (Can you believe the nerve? Ugh.)
Apparently met someone at the blues festival camping thing he invited me on. Sure, rejection sucks, but I didn’t actually know we were “going out.” I guess I shouldn’t have been sleeping with someone else. Whoopsie!
Then he had the nerve to describe how this was probably for the best for me because he’d be traveling all summer but now that would be “her problem” as opposed to mine. Awe. He’s so thoughtful!
So, the other guy I am/was seeing…probably moving to Florida. I knew this when we met but I still hadn’t expected June to arrive so fast. He flies out tonight, back on Friday, and sometime after that he’s officially moving.
Then there is Old Hot Friend. Knew him 10 years ago when I was a Girl About Town pre-ex-husband. Even hotter now. We talked about music for hours and he hung out with me after his buddy left but then I started hanging all over Mr. Florida and he disappeared. We’ll see how that one cooks up, he’s a distant part of The Circle (group of friends) but his buddy is starting to date my friend. Here’s hoping!
P.S. I’m testing out the waters and updating and reading more. I’ll catch up on reading everyone as I’m able. I hope everyone is great. And, Neko? How do I reach thee these days? Is email ok? I know you switched jobs but my emails to your non-work email I don’t think got thru.
