On the bus today, I met the queen of L.A.

The End for LA

2005-01-28 - 8:25 a.m.

My last day here at Shopping Mall Company though there is still a glimmer of hope I’m transferring. But I honestly have no idea what is going on. I need to type up a resignation letter still. I was waiting because I was hoping it wouldn’t be needed if I was simply transferring.

Leaving is bittersweet. I have complained plenty about the flaws around here and the stress, but I’m going to miss having my own office, my own huge window that looks out over all of West LA to Downtown. My endless internet usage. Yup. I’ll miss a lot.

It’s raining here today which also seems fitting.

And I’m still dealing with the end of not just a marriage, but a long friendship. So much hope and plans for our future – gone. And I’m off in a northerly direction heading towards a new life alone. It’s just weird. Is all. Happened so fast and now it’s over.

He left the checks for me last night and copies of our divorce papers. I’ll deposit them tonight.

And the apartment stinks like dirty clothes. Ick.

Feeling a little hungover. Apparently you can’t drink so much wine when you’re hardly eating.

And I’d best post before The Temp arrives to share more stories of nightmare husbands/boyfriends/lovers. It’s so depressing. But she is incredibly nice and helpful, she even took all my old clothes to an abused women’s shelter for me.

So Last Season - Circa Now
